The Spanish table tennis player Álvaro Robles stayed on Friday at the gates of his first international title in the WTT Feeder Düsseldorf, after losing in the final to German Benedikt Duda.
The man from Huelva took the silver, reaching the final after beating the Germans Cedric Meissner (4-1), in the second round, and Fanbo Meng (4-1), in the third. In the quarterfinals he had to be traced to the Russian Lev Katsman 4-3 and overcame this Friday in the semifinals Anton Kallberg.
The Spanish paddler could not beat local Benedikt Duda in the final, where he fell 4-1 (11-7, 11-7, 11-7, 6-11 and 11-3). As for the rest of the Spanish, Juan Pérez and Albert Vilardell gave up in the second round, and Álvaro Gainza said goodbye in the first round. In doubles, Pérez / Gainza fell in the quarters and Vilardell, along with the Swiss Pedro Osiro, could not pass the quarters either.
