After a long time of negotiations between Cádiz and Albacete (the player had a contract until 2022), it seems that they have finally come to fruition and Álvaro Jiménez will wear yellow this new season. Last season in La Mancha he played 35 games, scored four goals and gave three assists. After two seasons, the time has come for a change of scene. The winger stood out last season and he had several teams behind interested in his incorporation, but it was Cádiz that took over his services.

Álvaro Jiménez was trained in the lower categories of Córdoba and Real Madrid. He has also played for Getafe, Sporting de Gijón and Albacete, his last teams. In addition, he has experience in the First Division, so he knows the demands of the category.

With the incorporation of Álvaro Jiménez, there are already six reinforcements for Cádiz for the 2021-22 season. The other signings have been ‘Vato’ Haroyan, Tomás Alarcón, Milutin Osmajic, Santiago Arzamendia and Martín Calderón. Álvaro Jiménez will have a difficult time playing the first league game on Saturday against Levante since he has not been able to do preseason under Álvaro Cervera, although he is already in Cádiz and has passed the medical examination. Tomorrow it will be presented.
