Bayern Munich will not be able to count on Canadian Alphonso Davies for the next Bundesliga matches, against RB Leipzig (second place) and Union Berlin, after the player was sent off with a direct red in the duel against Stuttgart, and this Monday sanctioned with two suspension games.
This was decided today by the court of the German Football Federation, two days after Davies saw the red card, with the intervention of the VAR, for a strong tackle against the Japanese Wataru Endo.
Above all, the next duel against Leipzig may be key in defining the title of the season. Leipzig is currently second, four points less than Bayern.
For that match, the Hansi Flick team will also have to do without center-back Jerome Boateng, who saw the fifth yellow card against Stuttgart.
Davies' absence will likely see Lucas Hernández occupy the left-back position, while the center-back pair will be Niklas Süle and David Alaba.
