Allegri: “Sevilla is used to this type of match”

MADRID, 10 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri, recalled this Wednesday that Sevilla, his rival in the Europa League semifinals, “is used to and has experience” in this type of match, from which “he never leaves”, so who asked to “respect the adversary and exploit their weaknesses”.

“Sevilla have won the Europa League four times and the UEFA Cup twice. They are used to it, they have experience and they never leave the game, it will take a good game,” Allegri said in statements offered by the club’s media in the press conference prior to the first leg against Seville at the Allianz Stadium this Thursday (9:00 p.m.).

However, the coach warned that his team comes into the game “very well, morally and professionally” to face this final stretch. “This year we have developed a shell, we have come out stronger. Now we have four league games and a double semifinal. We must do what we have always said: give the best of ourselves. At the end of the season, we will understand if we have done our work,” he said.

“Tomorrow the whole group will be important, especially those who start from the bench. We need the attitude of the last games, respecting the opponent and exploiting their weaknesses. We will have to be prepared for both games”, stressed Allegri, who confirmed that Gleison Bremer will be low on defense due to “fatigue”.

The Brazilian’s is the only casualty in the ‘bianconera’ squad, who faces the match against Sevilla “with enthusiasm and desire”. The Argentine Ángel di María will NOT miss it. “He knows very well what he has to do tomorrow, when the result counts he has always been there, his career speaks for itself,” Allegri said of the winger.

DI MARÍA: “I WANT TO WIN THIS TROPHY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT”

It was precisely Di María who accompanied the coach at the press conference prior to the European duel against Sevilla. The veteran footballer assured the media that the team is “very well”, after the “plus” that was the “important victory” away from home against Atalanta. “The group is happy, working serenely,” he stressed, despite having been a season “with many problems.”

“I miss this trophy, I want to win this cup one hundred percent, it’s very important to me, all the trophies I can win are. We want to reach the final because of our fans, who follow us and support us every day” he added.

Finally, Di María confessed that he is “talking to the club” to renew his contract, after he arrived at the ‘Vecchia Signora’ last summer. “(Playing for Juventus) has helped me a lot to improve and find my best form, and I think I’ve shown it in recent months. I’m happy here and so is my family,” he concluded.
