Massimiliano Allegri, former coach of Juventus and Milan, among other teams, once again proclaimed his love for the Premier, this time in an interview with The Times newspaper. The 53-year-old Italian coach, unemployed since his departure from Juve in the summer of 2019, frequently travels to London, a city he likes a lot, and insisted that he would like to coach a Premier team.
“English football improve since there are many foreign coaches. I would like to try the experience. In Italy I led Milan for 4 years (2010-14) and Juventus for 5 ((2014-2019). I would like to work again in Italy, but it is difficult, or in England ”.
At the time Allegri sounded to occupy the bench of Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle. Also to become Thomas Tuchel's successor at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). But for the moment the coach, who won, among other titles, a 'scudetto' with Milan and 5 with Juventus, is still out of work.
The Champions resisted him: Allegri lost two finals as a coach of the 'vecchia signora': the 2014-15 against Barcelona (3-1 in Berlin) and the 2016-17 against Real Madrid (4-1 in Cardiff ). The long-awaited third Champions League, after those of 1984-85 and 1995-96, was left without adding to Juventus's record. The Turinese have not been proclaimed European champions for 24 years.
