The Spanish international and striker for FC Barcelona Alexia Putellas will be operated on Tuesday for the rupture of the cruciate ligament in her left knee that occurred three days after Spain’s debut in the European Championship in England, the Barça club reported on Monday.
Putellas, who has already left the concentration of ‘la Roja’ after watching the first match of her teammates against Finland (4-1) from the stands, will undergo surgery at the Barcelona Hospital for the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee .
