Alexander ensures its continuity until 2022

Alexander González will continue at La Rosaleda next season. The Venezuelan full-back, who this Monday night denounced the theft of a significant amount of money at his hotel, signed for Malaga at the end of December after the serious injury suffered by Iván Calero. The agreement had a duration of six months, until June 30. But it included an automatic renewal clause for matches that it has already complied with, so His contract has been extended for one more season, until June 30, 2022.

The automatic extension of his commitment required that Alexander González played 45 minutes in at least five official matches, as pointed out The Uncheck Malaga. That requirement was met on Sunday at Málaga – Zaragoza, a match in which the vinotinto played the first half and was substituted at half-time.

The footballer also has completed at least half a game in the Cup matches against Oviedo (120 ') and Granada (90') and in the League against Ponferradina (45 ') and Alcorcón (90'). He also played 9 minutes in the league match against Oviedo.

Alexander will therefore be part of the next Blue and White project. Sergio Pellicer has been giving him his trust and has used him on both sides. For next season Málaga has secured the presence of three versatile right-backs on the squad, since the Venezuelan and Iván Calero can act on both bands and Ismael Casas has performed at a good level both on the right side and as a right-handed central in a line of five behind.
