MADRID, 13 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The youngest riders of the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Team in the Moto3 FIM Junior GP –Ángel Piqueras, José Antonio Rueda and Facundo Llambias– met in person and listened to the advice of the Estrella Galicia 0.0 ambassadors in the class queen of MotoGP, Joan Mir, Álex Rins and Álex Márquez during their visit to the ‘paddock’ during the Catalan Grand Prix.
Ángel Piqueras, José Antonio Rueda and Facundo Llambias dream of one day reaching the motorcycling world championship, starting with the small category of Moto3, and they continue to train in the JuniorGP World Championship and wish to put that advice into practice.
For example, the MotoGP world champion Joan Mir (Suzuki) assured them that they should give full throttle now to soak up everything and learn with a bike that is usually the one from the Moto3 World Championship the previous year. “It’s the best way to get to Moto3 better prepared,” he assured them.
José Antonio Rueda is currently leading the JuniorGP classification, while Piqueras occupies the provisional 3rd place and Llambias is in 17th position (after not being able to participate in the last races held in Barcelona and Jerez due to injury).
The three aspiring future MotoGP riders were fascinated by the experience with the ambassadors of Estrella Galicia 0,0. Rueda finally met Álex Márquez in person, one of his greatest references in the queen class of the World Cup.
Piqueras stressed that he was surprised by the multiple controls that the rider must handle on the handlebars of a MotoGP mount. For Llambias, it was the first time that he attended a world championship event, it was all new.
For all of them it was a special day with their idols or mirrors in which to look at themselves. Piqueras and Rueda, of Spanish nationality, come directly from the Estrella Galicia 0.0 support program for young talent in motorcycling, having participated in previous seasons in the European Talent Cup.
For his part, Facundo Llambias, born in Uruguay, was initially trained in Brazilian motorcycling competitions, having subsequently participated, already in Spain, in different categories of the ESBK national championship.
Piqueras, Rueda and Llambias currently compete in the Moto3 FIM JuniorGP under the supervision of Jaime Serrano (CEO Monlau Motorsport and Team Principal of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 FIM Junior GP World Championship Team), Kev Coghlan (former rider and Team Manager of the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and Rubén Cortés (Marketing & Paddock Manager of Monlau Motorsport and Team Estrella Galicia 0,0).
Monlau Motul Technical School, through its Monlau Motorsport sports division, is the team with which Estrella Galicia 0.0 has been working since 2011 for the training of base drivers in the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Motorsport project.
