The Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has broken into the ‘Top 20’ of the ATP ranking on Monday after winning the title in the Rio tournament on Sunday, while Paula Badosa continues to rise and is already number four in the world.
The 18-year-old from Murcia became the youngest tennis player in Brazil to win an ATP 500 category title, after beating Argentine Diego Schwartzman (6-4, 6-2) in the final, which gave him worth to climb nine positions in the classification.
