Albert Ramos falls in the second round of Rio de Janeiro

MADRID, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Albert Ramos lost (6-2, 6-1) this Wednesday against the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo in the second round of the tournament in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), an ATP 500 category event that is played on land.

Ramos, who made the semifinals in the Brazilian tournament in 2017 as his best result, conceded 2-0 in direct duels with the Argentine, who barely suffered with his serve. On the other hand, the Catalan had problems from the beginning to add his service.

Thus, in the fourth game the 'break' ended up coming for Cerúndolo and the South American closed the first set with another break at 6-2. Afterwards, the Argentine did not have to face a break ball until he served with a comfortable 5-1 lead.

The second set was also very uncomfortable for Ramos who did not take advantage of his great victory in the debut in Rio against the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas, in search of a good week with which to lift a bad start to the season.
