Alavés clings to the lead

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Deportivo Alavés beat Real Zaragoza (1-0) this Friday in Mendizorroza, despite playing with ten for more than half of the match, and became provisional leader of LaLiga SmartBank at the start of matchday 15, thanks to the solitary Jason’s goal.

Zaragoza was not able to subdue a numerically inferior Alavés who knew how to play their cards during the ninety minutes. Juan Carlos Carcedo’s men tried in every possible way, with a predominance of play on the wings, but the local defense dispelled any comeback attempt.

Jason, after masterfully executing a long-range free kick, made it the final 1-0 in the 62nd minute. In this way, Luis García Plaza’s men, undefeated at home and with a streak of five games without defeat, will sleep leaders at waiting for what happens in the game that will face Burgos against Tenerife on Saturday.
