Half a year after Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin signed their divorce, we have seen the former handball player’s girlfriend and her mother together for the first time, enjoying a family meal. It should be remembered that Claire Liebaert is still very close to Cristina. For her, the mother of her grandchildren has been like another daughter, and the separation from her son has not distanced them. However, she has to accept the stage of her son and the woman he loves.

Smiling and happy, that’s how they were seen in the housing estate on the outskirts of Vitoria where they live and where this family meeting took place. Some of Juan’s father’s siblings, Pablo, Miguel and Irene, were also at this meal, so important for Armentia that more than two years after the publication of the first photos with Iñaki in Bidart she already feels like another Urdangarin. With her ‘mother-in-law’, whom she didn’t meet until the end of last year, she was very complicit while mother and son walked down the street hand in hand, as they usually do. In a moment of heat, Urdangarin pulled up his shirt and showed off his abdomen.
It was shortly after signing the divorce with Felipe VI’s sister that Iñaki moved in with his girlfriend, whom he met at the law firm where he worked while completing his third degree. They live in a rented house. The house is in the same residential area where the mother of the former handball player lives.
However, Armentia lives between this house and the apartment she shared with her ex-husband. She stays there with her two teenage children when it is her turn, while her ex-husband does the same with the other part of the corresponding time. It should be remembered that in their joint custody agreement, they established that they would be the ones to travel to the family home to avoid their children having to go from house to house.
Meanwhile, Iñaki’s children continue with their lives. Irene is living her first summer of love with Juan Urquijo, her distant cousin and Teresa Urquijo’s brother; Miguel, like her, is also living in Zarzuela and at the beginning of July he was caught with a young Venezuelan woman; Juan lives in London; and Pablo continues with his handball, while consolidating his relationship with the young Johanna Zott.
