AFE and the Ministry of Equality take “important steps” for the permanent presence of League F in La Quiniela

MADRID, 7 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Association of Spanish Soccer Players (AFE) reported this Wednesday of “important steps” in order to ensure that there are matches of the Finetwork Liga F in La Quiniela after its last meeting at the Ministry of Equality.

The union, which recalls that this is a “priority objective for years”, held a working meeting this past Monday with representatives of the Women’s Institute of the Ministry of Equality, “in which important steps were taken to achieve the goal set ” and after which the organization “promised to include this just claim in the next Strategic Plan for the Effective Equality of Women and Men”.

In addition, according to AFE in a statement, the ministry led by Irene Montero will soon raise with the Higher Sports Council (CSD) the importance of including every week matches of the highest women’s category in the La Quiniela ticket, while the Institute of Las Mujeres, as part of this strategic plan, will request a meeting with State Lotteries and Gambling to address “formally and officially this necessary claim that AFE has been working on since 2019.”

“This measure, if carried out, will have a positive impact on women’s football, giving it greater visibility and the necessary and important economic resources for its growth,” they stressed from the union chaired by David Aganzo.
