Adrián González is the seventh signing for Real Zaragoza, after Jair, Vuckic, Chavarría, Bermejo, Zanimacchia and Narváez. The 32-year-old midfielder is already in the Aragonese capital to undergo the mandatory medical examination and the operation will be official this afternoon with the signing of his new two-season contract. Adrián arrives with the freedom letter and will be presented tomorrow at La Romareda, predictably at 12:00 hours.
The last reinforcement rescinded his contract with Malaga last Friday, after being included in an ERE by the Andalusian club, and has opted from the beginning for Zaragoza's proposal, despite the fact that Fuenlabrada or Oviedo gave him a higher salary. He has had up to five offers from Second, but when Real Zaragoza appeared on the scene he ordered his agent, Manuel García Quilón, to reach a quick agreement with sports director Lalo Arantegui.
Son of the former Real Madrid player Míchel, Adrián is a versatile and offensive midfielder, with notable scoring records, who has played in the lower categories of Real Madrid, Celta de Vigo, Nástic de Tarragona, Getafe, Éibar, Elche, Rayo Vallecano, Racing de Santander and Málaga.
Zaragoza now has yet to incorporate another center forward and a left winger, while he is going to transfer Raúl Guti whenever an important proposal arrives (his clause is 10 million euros) and he also wants to release Kagawa, Papu, Raí and Grandson or Lasure. For Guti, Valencia, Betis, Éibar and Almería have shown interest.
