Movistar and ACB have delivered this Wednesday to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) a check for 39,581 euros that will be converted into 35,983 kilos of food, collected in the ‘Movistar Solidarity Parties’ of the Endesa League on days January 7 and 8, in an initiative that was also joined by the women’s teams of Valencia Basket, Unicaja and Movistar Estudiantes.
As announced by the telephone company, all the points scored in the Endesa League matches that weekend would be converted into 15 euros to help those most in need. “Under the motto ‘Let’s play to help’, the world of basketball was once again involved in a solidarity action promoted by Movistar and with the collaboration of the ACB, clubs and fans of this sport,” Movistar said in a statement.
In addition, to the amounts collected in these nine games were added the women’s teams of the clubs sponsored by Movistar, whose matches had the same donation per point converted, and the eSports team Movistar Riders. In his case, the company will donate 20 euros per Counter Strike game played in his clan on the FACEIT platform, and 75 for each goal scored by the riders Andoni and Tuga in the FIFA World Cup qualifier.
