A Sporting de Portugal player is shot in the chest

Bruno Tavares, a right winger for the Sporting de Portugal subsidiary, was shot in the chest early Sunday morning. The 18-year-old footballer had to be hospitalized, but he is already at home and out of danger. According to Sporting de Portugal sources referred to by A Bola, this Monday the police will open proceedings to find out how the events unfolded.

Some information assures that the player, who last May renewed with Sporting until 2025, he was at a station with a group of friends, when one of them started playing with a gun and it accidentally went off, reaching the footballer.

Sporting de Portugal is awaiting the police report to take disciplinary measures that it deems appropriate. The extreme will still have to remain a few days off.
