The head of the Badajoz Mercantile Court has suspended the liquidation of Extremadura UD, according to a sentence that she herself had issued on January 18, and gives twenty days to the president, Manuel Franganillo, to present allegations.
In a resolution issued this Wednesday afternoon, the judge attends to the proposal made by the club she presides over Franganillo and the bankruptcy administrator, Bernard Silva, who asked to extend the period of five days initially given to present the appeal against the sentence that dictated the liquidation of the club.
What’s more, the decision to remove the powers of the club president remains in abeyance, which included the sentence now rectified. On the resolution approved this Wednesday there is no appeal, he clarifies.
This decision comes on the same day that the only remaining player from the first team that started the season last summer with Extremadura was fired, Jorge Morcillo.
The central defender has followed in the footsteps of the goalkeeper Thorny Chaste and neither of them traveled last weekend to Bilbao to play against Bilbao Athletic.
In addition, also this Wednesday two players who had a professional record and who had moved up to the first team have left, such as Assaney Moi Parra.
This forces the club to incorporate players and make them professional files to play the next match this Thursday against Talavera at the Francisco de la Hera stadium, since this Wednesday he only had six professional chips.
