Police are looking for Sezer Öztürk, a former Fenerbahce and Besiktas footballer, for a conflict on the road that resulted in one death and four injuries. According to witnesses, the former player fired several times with a pistol at the people with whom he was arguing. because they did not let him continue to circulate with the car.
The incident occurred in Çekmeköy, on the Şile Paşaköy road, in Istanbul, on Sunday, September 19, at around 5.30 p.m. Öztürk was riding in a car with a foreign registration with a friend, when they found that the road was blocked by Halil İbrahim S., who was with family and friends. They both asked for the road to be cleared so that they could continue on their way. Halil İbrahim S. was going to do it, but he and Öztürk started arguing for a reason that is still unknown and which led to a fight.
At that moment Öztürk fired from his luxury car and quickly fled. Halil İbrahim S. lost his life in that brawl where guns and knives were used. Father Haydar G., Brother Duran S., and their friends Sezgin Y. and Metin A. were injured.
One of the witnesses recorded this fight with his mobile, and a security camera captured the moment when Halil İbrahim S., who was married with two children, tried to escape the shooting.
Following these events, the Public Prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant for Öztürk, who was born and raised in Germany. The police are still looking for him.
