The United States Department of Justice has just published a series of documents related to Jeffrey Epsteinthe infamous sexual offender, including his contact list, flight records and an inventory of evidence collected against him.
The filtration, of approximately 200 pages, confirms the presence of more public figures in the extensive network of Epstein contacts, some of them already previously linked to the case in judicial leaks and demands. Among the outstanding names in the Epstein list are Mick Jagger, the late Michael Jackson, actor Alec Baldwin, and Ethel Kennedy, mother of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Naomi Campbell and singer Courtney Love.
Other personalities included in the document are Bob Weinstein (brother of the producer condemned Harvey Weinstein), businessman David Koch, former senator Ted Kennedy, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, former state of state of state John Kerry, the actor Dustin Hoffman, businessman Jon Huntsman, Ivana E Ivanka Trump, and the model Liz Hurley. However, the US president does not appear on the list.
The Department of Justice has clarified that this list does not represent an Epstein customer record, but simply a set of contacts that the financial accumulated over the years. In addition, the contact information and addresses of these figures have been censored in the released documents. The publication of the list has generated great expectation, although many names were already known for previous investigations. Among the documents is also a written record of Epstein’s masseuses, with 254 names whose data has been protected because they are victims.
Another document revealed corresponds to the flight records of the private Jet of Epstein, known as the Express Lolita, which have been published in previous occasions with certain censored parts. In these records is the signature of David Rodgers, pilot of Epstein, who has testified on the events that occurred during the tycoon flights.
Despite the expectation generated, the filtration has been disappointing for those who expected new evidence on Epstein’s links with influential politicians and businessmen. An informant who reviewed the first part of the revealed information described the publication as “a disappointment”, not including compromising details about powerful characters.
It has not been confirmed whether there will be more leaks related to Epstein, but the title of the leaked document refers to a “phase one”, which suggests that more documents could be published in the future. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who has led efforts to obtain transparency in the Epstein case, expressed her frustration in social networks: “This is not what we or the US people ask, it is a complete disappointment. We want real information!” Meanwhile, former Florida General, Pam Bondi, has demanded that FBI deliver the rest of the documents not revealed before Friday.
Transparency and Justice promises
The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, said that there will be no coverss or hidden documents in the investigation. “If records have been hidden, we will find them. And we will deliver everything we discover to the Department of Justice for its complete evaluation and for the information to be disseminated transparently to the US people.” Epstein’s infamous “Book”, a document that contains names of hundreds of magnate contacts since the 90s, came to light for the first time in 2009 during a trial and was published by the missing medium Gawker in 2015.
A second contact book appeared years later, with 349 names, including figures such as Donald Trump, businessman John Catsimatidis and Melania Trump’s friend, Suzanne Ircha. There were also multimillionaire investor Carl Icahn, Cristina Greeven (wife of Chris Cuomo), the former Playboy Christie Hefner and Marty Peretz director, former ex -editor of The New Republic and political mentor of Al Gore. This book was found on Fifth Avenue in New York and auctioned on EBAY for $ 425 to a social studies professor at Vermont, Christopher Helali. Now, Helali plans to auction it in March with the hope that it reaches a price of up to $ 50,000.
Jeffrey Epstein, who built his fortune through connections with powerful financiers and politicians, declared himself guilty in 2008 in Florida for crimes of child prostitution, achieving a judicial agreement that allowed him to comply only 13 months in prison with a permissive labor exit program. In 2019, he was arrested again in New York under positions of sex trafficking and, while waiting for his judgment, he was found dead in his cell in an apparent suicide. However, the circumstances of his death have been subject to numerous theories of conspiracy and suspicions.
His partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, was subsequently sentenced to 20 years in prison for minors. Despite the recently released documents, Epstein’s story remains surrounded by unanswered questions. The possibility of future leaks could shed more light on the dark ties of the magnate with the world elite.
