Harry Kane won the Premier Golden Boot this Sunday, which distinguishes the top scorer in the English championship, and he did it thanks to the goal he scored with Tottenham against Leicester (2-4 for Spurs). A goal that for Kane is worth an English Golden Boot but also special because, if he finally leaves Tottenham, he will have been the last with his shirt. Kane finished the championship with 23 goals, just one more than the 22 for Mohamed Salah, who failed to score against Crystal Palace (2-0).
Both Kane and Salah came to this last day of the Premier tied at 22 goals scored. But it was the England captain who could see the goal at the close of the tournament and got his third Premier Golden Shoe.
Previously, the England captain had managed to wear the Tottenham shirt those of 2015-16 (with 25 goals for Spurs) and 2016-17 (29). Salah has 2 and with Liverpool: those of 2017-18 (with 32 goals) and 2018-19 (22). The top scorer of the 2019-20 Premier, Leicester star Jamie Vardy (with 23), has achieved 15 in this edition, in which he has had several injuries.
In the 2020-21 Premier's top scorers list, the one that follows Harry Kaner and Mohamed Salah is Manchester United's midfielder Bruno Fernandes, in his own right one of the season's great stars and who has scored 18 goals. And, at 17, Son Heung-min, Kane's teammate at Tottenham, and Patrick Bamford (Leeds). At 16, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton).
