MADRID, 10 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The ProLiga association has requested this Friday the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to distribute the aid provided in the 'Impulse 23' program to the clubs of Second B and Third Division, but “maintaining the requirements of past seasons.”
This Association has requested an urgent meeting to the RFEF since the information that the clubs are receiving is “contradictory” and is generating a “great uncertainty”, they explain from ProLiga, that also has demanded the payment of the aid still pending of the past campaign for clubs of these categories. ProLiga recalled that they must comply with Decree Law 2015.
In this regard, the association wants to make some considerations to the so-called 'Impulse 23' program, whereby the RFEF established new requirements for the distribution of such aid because until last season, the only requirement that had been requested from the clubs had been 'accredit being up to date with the Treasury and with the Social Security'.
Given the current situation, ProLiga considers that “the RFEF has modified the 'rules of the game' in the middle of the season, establishing new requirements unilaterally without the clubs, nor taking them into consideration when establishing the rules collected in the Calls for Aid “.
ProLiga understands that these 'requirements' are “very misaligned with the current context experienced by many clubs of the two non-professional categories, which can cause a very high percentage of them to remain without receiving aid (neither the previous nor the promised ones ), which worries about ProLiga. “
“For more concern,” ProLiga continues, President Luis Rubiales said at the briefing on November 4 that the aid plan is “totally voluntary.” If someone does not want it, they will have the same (referred to the amount of the Help) that was up to date. “
However, from ProLiga, they explain that high federation officials have stated that it was a “misinterpretation” and that taking advantage of the Program will be mandatory to receive the aid. “This requirement, which is the main concern, would cause those clubs that this year could not meet the requirements, would have a serious problem in their income forecasts, leading the entities to very delicate situations.”
Given this general situation, ProLiga has asked the RFEF that this season the aid announced in 'Impulse 23' is distributed in Second B and Third, but with the general requirements of the past seasons, since the control measures established in the new The program considers them “inadequate at the time of the season in which they intend to apply.”
