The Barça squad undergoes an antigen test and all are negative

The Barcelona squad underwent, before training this Wednesday at the Joan Gamper Sports City, an antigen test in which all the Barça footballers tested negative, as informed to EFE sources of the Catalan club.

After training last Monday, the players celebrated, together with their partners, a barbecue at the home of their captain, Lionel Messi. A meeting that generated a great media uproar when health protocols were not respected to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Despite the fact that, according to LaLiga protocols, footballers must undergo a PCR test this Thursday (48 hours before the match against Atlético de Madrid), the club wanted to do an antigen test this Wednesday, since on Tuesday the squad enjoyed their day off.

The players were summoned before training to undergo this test. All staff members tested negative and, therefore, were able to train normally.
