Pellicer takes 14 professionals to Las Palmas

Málaga travels to Las Palmas with 14 professionals, seven players with a subsidiary file and several significant casualties. Three of the starters in the brightest period of the season are left out of the expedition due to physical problems. Luis Muñoz and Josua Mejías already dropped against Albacete last Sunday. They have been joined in the Escassi infirmary, another capital figure within Sergio Pellicer's schemes. The Malaga pivot suffers a significant discomfort in the heel of his right foot and will not be in Las Palmas.

To these absences must be added that of Orlando Sá, who after a long convalescent period and spending several weeks in his country following a recovery treatment, has returned to exercise these days with the group. However, Pellicer still does not see him in adequate physical condition to include him in the call. Homegrown players Hicham and Ismael Casas remain injured and have not traveled either.

Thus, the blue and white coach will be forced to rebuild his midfield again. Cristian Rodríguez seems the number one candidate to replace Luis Muñoz, although Ramón should not be ruled out. The Escassi square will be disputed by Benkhemassa and the youth squad Quintana. Another doubt lies in the goal. Juan Soriano has played two games and it remains to be seen if Pellicer gives him one more game or if he decides to rotate again and return Dani Barrio to eleven.

The rest of the eleven, a priori, should not undergo modifications. Ale Benítez, Lombán, Juande, Matos, Jairo, Jozabed, Yanis Rahmani and Caye Quintana, except for surprise, will continue to be part of Málaga's starting eleven.

The 21 players called up by Pellicer for this Saturday's match against Las Palmas (6:15 p.m.) are: Juan Soriano, Lombán, Juande, Cristian, Jairo, Joaquín, Dani Barrio, Stefan, Yanis, Matos, Jozabed, Caye, Alexander González, Benkhemassa, Ale Benítez, Ramón, Quintana, Cristo, Julio, Larrubia and Dani Strindholm.
