Verratti out for the first leg against Bayern due to coronavirus

If Bayern will not have Robert Lewandoski in Wednesday's game against PSG, the Parisian team will not be able to count on Marco Verratti. The Italian, who was already a doubt due to some discomfort in his left thigh, has been diagnosed in coronavirus and will have to spend a week in isolation, so its presence in the first leg of the quarters against Bayern is out.

Verratti is not the only casualty that PSG will have to face the current Champions League champion. Leandro Paredes saw yellow in the round of 16 against Barcelona and will not play the first leg due to accumulation of cards. Both are joined by Bernat, who is not enrolled and continues to recover from the ligament injury he sustained in November.

The Italian midfielder has suffered its second positive so far this season. To this must be added that he was out for three weeks after returning injured from the October international window, preventing him from playing the first days of the Champions League. Without Verratti or Paredes, Pochettino could repeat the double pivot he won 2-4 against Lyon and that Danilo and Gueye formed it.
