From Gea
The Atlético youth squad appeared before his fans, demonstrating feline reflexes from the penalty spot. After debuting in the Champions League, in his first league game, on October 3, 2009, he committed a penalty against Zaragoza … and it was stopped by Marko Babic. In total they threw eleven penalties in the competition, managed to stop three (Babic, Webo and Trezeguet) and another went out. Although probably his most important stopped penalty was Diego Milito in the 2010 European Super Cup against Inter, a title that Atlético managed to lift. De Gea's time in the first team was intense, but short, he played 84 games between 2009 and 2011 before leaving for Manchester United.
