Upamecano's low period

Dayot Upamecano, Leipzig's central defender, who was injured on Sunday in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1, had to retire in the 28th minute), will be out between 10 and 14 days, so most likely he will not be able to play none of the matches of the French team this March. The defender, from Bayern as of July, should have joined the 'bleu' ranks next week.

Upamecano, 22, suffers from a muscle problem in the back of his right thigh. This was confirmed by Leipzig in a statement in which the club indicated that it must remain inactive for between 10 and 14 days.

Upamecano was scheduled to be on the list to be announced by Didier Deschamps, France coach, this coming Thursday, ahead of the matches against Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Bosnia. In any case, everything indicates that the center-back will be able to play the decisive match against Bayern on April 3. Leipzig is 2nd, 4 points behind Bayern, with 9 games remaining for the end of the Bundesliga.

Upamecano signed a 5-year contract for Bayern, which paid € 42.5 million to Leipzig. Two historical centers such as David Alaba and Jéröme Boateng everything indicates that they will leave the Bavarian club at the end of the season.
