Roma does not give Braga an option

There was no room for surprise. After 0-2 in the first leg, Roma again beat Sporting Braga (3-1) and successfully certified their presence in the round of 16 of the Europa League.

Paulo Fonseca's team did not give the option of a hypothetical comeback from his coach's former team and went all out to close the tie as soon as possible.

The ‘giallorossi’ liked each other and overwhelmed the Portuguese team, waiting to block the roads through which an unleashed Rome was entering. Thus, the 1-0 was not long in coming. In the 23rd minute, El-Shaarawy shot at the post with a thread and Dzeko, smelling a goal, took the rebound to send the ball to the back of the net.

With the pass fully on track, Roma set about controlling the match.

Pellegrini missed a penalty midway through the second half, but soon after he retaliated by giving a great assist to Carles Pérez (74 '), who finished off the task for the Roman team.

With everything decided, Braga said goodbye to the competition celebrating an own goal by Cristante (88 '), although then Mayoral, a substitute for a Dzeko who left the field with muscular problems, scored the final 3-1 already into injury time.
