Roger: “The victory will last forever but I hope we don't stay here”

Levante forward Roger Martí, scorer of the goal in the last minute that gave his team the victory in overtime in the Copa del Rey quarter-final match against Villarreal, pointed out that the victory “will remain forever but I hope that we stay here ”.

“I think that with the first goal I scored in Primera is one of the most important I have scored for all that it means,” he said on the club's official radio.

“It is a triumph for all, for those who have been able to be us, those who have been in the stands, those who have left the beginning and those who have entered later and those who have seen it on TV,” he said.

Roger dedicated his goal to the fans who have not been able to enjoy themselves on the field and stressed that the team “believed” as it has done all season. “In the end the ball was able to enter and it is amazing,” he said.

Postigo asks to keep dreaming

Levante center-back Sergio Postigo pointed out that with the victory they have made “a lot of people a little happier” and stressed that it would have been “incredible” to have experienced it with an audience in the stands “but better times will come where we can enjoy”.

“Now you have to keep dreaming,” asked Postigo, who admitted that they would have liked “it to be more pleasant but we knew what we had in front of us is a team that submits you many minutes and that's how it has been.”

“They have had their chances. If a script was written it would have to be this one ”, he explained.
