Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso was announced as the new technician of the Rio Ave, from the Portuguese first division, with a contract for the next season and a half.
Cardoso assumes command of the team, which in the last five games was led on an interim basis by Pedro Cunha, after the departure of Mario Silva.
The 48-year-old coach returns to the club that he already trained in the 2017/2018 season, when he finished fifth, and after spending time with teams such as Celta de Vigo, Nantes and AEK.
Rio Ave is tenth in the Portuguese League, with 15 points.
