Madrid still sighs with Rafa Mir

Rafa Mir (06/18/1997, Murcia) will be one of the players on matchday 21 of LaLiga Santander. The forward of the Huesca scored a hat-trick in the 1-3 win over the Valladolid to vindicate its quality and effectiveness face to door. However, Mir's fate could have been very different in January 2018, at which point he was close to signing for Real Madrid to reinforce the Castile. Valencia, the club in which he played then, refused to allow the attacker to go to Concha Espina and preferred to sell him to Wolverhampton. Thus, Rafa Mir saw his signing for Madrid frustrated.

The player counted in Radio Valencia Cadena SER as they denied him since Mestalla his arrival at Bernabeu: “Three or four offers were rejected by Real Madrid for me; however, at Wolverhampton they agreed to the first one in December. Valencia did not want me to go to Madrid and they have succeeded.”

Given the refusal to play at the Bernabéu, Mir packed his bags to England. With the Wolves he played five games before leaving on loan to Las Palmas, Nottingham Forest and Huesca. With the Alto Aragonese club he scored nine goals in 18 games in 19/20.

The 23-year-old forward has achieved his two 'hat-tricks' in just a month and a half. The first one was achieved in the first round of the Copa del Rey against the Marchamalo. The second has arrived this Friday before the Huesca with an unappealable header and two shots in which he defined perfectly.
