Viktor Troicki, one of the great rackets of Serbia in recent years together with Novak Djokovic, will be the new Serbian captain for the Davis Cup, as announced by the Serbian Tennis Federation on Wednesday.
Troicki lands in office with the difficult mission of replacing Nenad Zimonjic, the great Serbian captain in recent years, although the record he has achieved with the Serbian team supports him, since Troicki particulated in the Davis Cup title in 2010, in the Dusseldorf World Cups in 2009 and 2012 and in the conquest of the first ATP Cup at the beginning of this 2020.
The Serbian Tennis Federation highlights the work of Troicki, who became number 12 in the world, in the Davis Cup, where he has added 24 wins to 16 losses in 40 matches that he has played, and that now, at 34 years old, he will try to transfer his experience from the bench and the court to ensure that Serbia consolidates itself in the tennis elite.
