Bayern come back to Wolfsburg with a double from Lewandowski

He Bayern returned to the winning track after drawing three of its last four games. It was not easy to savor the victory again, as he had to come back against a resistant Wolfsburg who left his undefeated vitola at the Allianz Arena. A soothing double by Robert Lewandowski, the Bundesliga's top scorer with 15 goals, rescued Hansi Flick's men in a match that highlighted that the champion is not going through his best moment.

The first half was most entertaining. Bayern came out with a very offensive eleven and quickly wanted to make a difference. Süle headed a corner kick and then Sané couldn't finish a good counter. However, it was Wolfsburg that struck first.

Sané rejected badly and lost a ball inside the area that was lethal. Mbabu recovered and assisted Philipp, who sent the ball to the back of the net.

For the sixth consecutive game, Bayern started low on the scoreboard. Perhaps that is why the Hansi Flick team got off-center and allowed Wolfsburg to come back with some danger.

It was Lewandowski who would revive the Bavarian champion with a play in which he could not overcome Casteels after hitting badly. The spark from the Pole encouraged Bayern, who flirted again with the tie with a shot from Gnabry that crashed into the defense.

The game was looking more and more like what was expected, however Wolfsburg generated a lot of danger every time it approached Neuer's goal. On a corner kick he almost scored second off a spectacular Philipp volley, but Alaba brushed just enough to deflect the shot.

At the edge of the break, in the added of the first half, Lewandowski reappeared to unblock Bayern with a “killer” goal. The Pole took advantage of a center from Coman to establish the tie.

Bayern breathed a sigh of relief and faced the second half with determination. Those of Flick jumped onto the pitch with more bite and as a result of their pressure they took an advantage.

Lewandowski took advantage of a rival loss, got rid of a defender and did not forgive Casteels to complete the Bavarian comeback.
