The Competition Committee has opened a file with the central Valencia Hugo Guillamón and the technician of the Mestalla, Javi Gracia, for the yellow card that the defender saw in the clash against him Atlético de Madrid and that was his fifth warning.
The center-back delayed his departure from the field of play after injuring himself according to the referee's act, so his loss against Eibar coincided with the sanction match that he had to comply with as established in the beginning by the Competition Committee.
As reported by Radio Valencia Cadena SER and sources from the Spanish Federation confirmed to Efe, it was the Integrity Committee that has urged Competition to start the process.
Now an examining judge will be appointed and he will study the case and raise a sanction proposal if he deems it appropriate, although the final decision will be made by the Competition.
This summer the regulations were amended to add a penalty game and a fine to those who force a yellow card in these types of situations.
The day after the match, the program El Día After Movistar showed some images in which coach Javi Gracia seemed to tell Guillamón to force that card.
From the Federation, they stressed that Integridad can use any type of test and does not have to adhere to the arbitration act that attributed Guillamón's delay to a desire to waste time.
