David Gallego's Sporting is the new 'Sporting de los Guajes'. A new generation of Mareo homegrown players is gaining prominence day by day this season. The last of its protagonists was Gaspar Campos-Ansó, author of the two goals that gave the rojiblanco team the victory against Sabadell.
The game had been complicated for Sporting with the tie of the Harlequin team. Gaspar entered the field just one minute after both Juan Hernández and dispatched little more than 20 dreamy minutes with the two goals that sealed the victory in less than a quarter of an hour, the second of them with one of the individual actions that will remain for the memory of this season.
They were his first goals with the first team. “I've been dreaming about it for a long time and, if I can, they serve to help the team and win, delighted. Very happy, “Gaspar declared at the end of the match. His task is to assist others to score goals, four achieved last season in the subsidiary, his first campaign in the second team rojiblanco.
Gaspar Campos-Ansó (Gijón, 03-27-2000) is an attacking midfielder converted into an extreme to whom the pandemic gave him the opportunity to occupy a place in the first team that he already had reserved in view of his progression and his conditions. Miroslav Djukic included him in the closed list of players who faced the end of last season after confinement.
He debuted in Vallecas on June 25, even as a starter, from the hand of Djukic who used 253 minutes in the 11 games that closed last season without an audience. He was also a starter on the last day, against Huesca.
Gaspar is one of those genuine products from the Mareo factory because it has gone through all the lower categories. He has been in the sportinguista quarry since he was eight years old and is part of this new generation of 2000 made up of Jose Gragera, Guille Rosas and Pablo García. Computer engineering student, he happens to be an exemplary model in the rojiblanca factory for both football and personal quality; discretion and education are its main values. He is the grandson of Juan Manuel Campos-Ansó, councilor, regional deputy and senator, now deceased.
Real Madrid placed him among its objectives in 2016 to incorporate him into the white factory, but Sporting opted for him and included him in the scholarship program that focuses on his best values to join the first team in the medium term. Gaspar's time has come and he is not willing to waste it.
