The Alcorcón recognizes that it committed improper alignment

Alcorcón has acknowledged that during the league match played on Saturday against Zaragoza committed improper alignment for a few minutes, when five footballers with a subsidiary file coincided on the green. It was only nine minutes but the error is manifest and recognized by the club itself through the statement issued today and which reads like this:

Alcorcón Shield / Flag

“Yesterday, in the match against Real Zaragoza, our team committed an improper alignment for a few minutes. It was an unfortunate incident that, if challenged by the rival, means administratively losing the point for which the team fought so hard on the field.

The error, and the consequence that it entails, is a harsh punishment that must be assumed with anger and self-criticism.

We accept as sports people that we are that to compete we have to do better, to be able to avoid mistakes that are clearly avoidable and that should not happen.

In the same way, we understand that mistakes are part of life, and therefore of football. And that in AD Alcorcon, Errors do not have a name or surname, but rather belong to all of us who make up the club, from the presidency to the rest of the employees. We all get it right and we all get it wrong.

These are not easy times for anyone in society, not for us who work in a soccer club. The people who deal with the day-to-day running of a professional sports team have been required for several months to the maximum between health protocols, adaptation of regulations, financial limitations when setting up templates and efforts and sacrifices to maintain employment and activity of sports clubs with very reduced income. It is of course no excuse, just a mitigation to the required concentration levels. At some point it may happen that errors occur that in normal conditions might not occur. This time it was our turn, I hope the season does not bring any more setbacks to any La Liga team.

We can only apologize to our fans, learn from the mistake, and continue working with the same dedication and humility to compete on the pitch with the same commitment that everyone who makes up the team showed yesterday. “
