Pjanic, negative for coronavirus after two weeks of quarantine

Barcelona's Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic announced on Tuesday that he has finally tested negative for coronavirus, 17 days after the first positive, so he plans to join the club's training sessions in the next few days.

“Today I received the confirmation that I have tested negative in the first test. I will submit to the second one today, and tomorrow I will know the results”Pjanic told the Bosnian sports portal SportSport.

The portal states that If all goes well, Pjanic will travel tomorrow or Thursday to Barcelona, where he will undergo another coronavirus test and then join the preparations for the start of the season.

Pjanic, a new Barcelona reinforcement signed last June, tested positive for PCR on August 22 and spent two weeks isolated at his home in Italy, feeling no major problems apart from the loss of smell and taste.

Due to the quarantine, the Bosnian international also missed two Nations League matches that his team played in recent days with Italy (1-1) and Poland (1-2).
