oachim Löw, selector of Germany, declared this Thursday, after draw 1-1 in Stuttgart with the team of Luis Enrique Martínez, who always likes the way Spain plays and who enjoys his style.
“I always like how Spain plays. They play very technical football. They always follow a certain plan and I enjoy them and the matches against them, “Löw said after the match in statements released by UEFA.
On the goal conceded in the 96th minute and that deprived him of the victory at the start of the Nations League, Löw said: “Of course we are now a bit sad, but we have seen a lot of positive things.”
German forward Timo Werner said: “That's a bummer. We ran a lot and created a lot of chances in the first half. We defended well after the lead and played a good game.”
“On the play at the end we had a lot of defenders on the field, but we couldn't clear that situation,” he said, although he also stressed that “it was a step in the right direction.”
