UEFA held the draw for the third qualifying round of the Champions League on Monday, August 31 in Nyon. The qualifiers will be played on September 15 or 16, with an extension and penalty shoot-out if necessary. The winners of each tie will advance to the playoffs of the highest continental competition while the defeated will access those of the Europa League. From these playoffs, which will be played in round-trip matches and will end on October 1, the remaining teams will come out to complete the group stage of the 2020/21 Champions League, which will begin on October 20.
Among the clashes drawn today, especially the Ferencvaros-Dinamo Zagreb, on the route of the champions and PAOK-Benfica on the route of the teams that did not conquer their leagues stand out.
