Antonio Conte continues on the Inter bench. Despite the fact that his departure was almost taken for granted after the defeat in the Europa League final against Sevilla (3-2), after a meeting of more than three hours between the coach and Steven Zhang, president of the black-blue club, Inter announced the continuity of the coach.
Conte has been training Inter since May 31, 2019, when he replaced Luciano Spalletti. During these days everything seemed to indicate that his project was finished, but after the meeting it was made public that the Interista leadership maintains its trust in the technician.
The meeting took place after the black-blue team lost the final of the Europa League against Sevilla, which caused the crisis. At the summit, in addition to the two great protagonists, Conte and Zhang, Beppe Marotta, Alessandro Antonello and Piero Ausilio also participated. It took place in a villa in Somma (Varese) from the early afternoon.
Conte will coach Inter therefore also next season. The Milanese club made the decision public through a statement.
