‘Cucho’ Hernández: “I will give everything for this team, which is the one that feeds me”

Colombian striker Juan Camilo 'Cucho' Hernandez, who will play this next season on loan at the Getafe for him Watford English, declared this Monday that pressure does not have to play in the Spanish team, although responsibility yes, since in the Azulona squad there is “a lot of quality”.

Hernández, 21, knows the Spanish League well after having played on loan for the last three seasons at Huesca and Mallorca.

In the 2017-2018 season he played 35 games and scored 16 goals with Huesca, with which he was promoted to First Division, and in the following campaign he made his debut in the top flight.

Last season he played for Mallorca, with whom he played 22 games and scored five goals. “When they called me I did not hesitate, because year after year they are doing well. For a player it is a good opportunity to play here. I come to a family and I only want the best for the group. For this I hope to score goals and give everything to the team” , said 'Cucho' Hernández during his presentation as a new Azulón footballer.

The Colombian striker reinforces Getafe's attack together with Turkish international Enes Ünal, who has signed five seasons for the azulón team. “I think that Enes and I can join the team. We are aggressive and we go for everything. The forwards have set the bar very high here and we have to push ourselves twice. There is a lot of quality in the squad,” he said.

You will not be able to play European competition with the ‘azulón’ team

For the Colombian striker “there is responsibility” for playing for Getafe, although “pressure to do something extraordinary, no.” 'Cucho' will not be able to play this season in European competition with Getafe. The Madrid team was left without a place in the Europa League on the last day after spending almost the entire season in the top seven in the standings.

“Many teams suffered after the break. Before it was almost unstoppable,” said the Colombian striker, who still does not know who will be his new teammates.

“We will have time. I have not spoken with the teammates yet. I know Xabi Etxeita from Huesca, with whom I have a good friendship,” he revealed. The Colombian striker assured that, although he belongs to Watford, “in his mind” he feels that he is from Getafe. “I will give one hundred percent for this team, which is the one that feeds me.”

Before his arrival at Watford in 2016 from CD América, Cucho, an absolute international with Colombia on one occasion, played for Deportivo Pereira in his country, in which he scored 25 goals in two seasons.
