Betis suspends training until Monday at least

He Real Betis has suspended the training he was carrying out in his stage in Marbella at least until Monday, pending the results of the new tests that have been carried out this Friday.

The entire expedition of the Real Betis It has undergone new PCR tests this Friday afternoon to see if there are new cases of coronavirus, after two were detected in those carried out yesterday Thursday. From the results of these tests -the third since the return of the holidays-, which will be known this Saturday, it will depend on whether the Betic team continues to train during the stage in Marbella, in any case from Monday, since Saturday and on Sunday they have been suspended, or this is terminated.

Last Monday the Betic players took the first PCR tests after the holidays and Loren tested positive, who was isolated at home and did not go to Marbella on Tuesday afternoon to carry out the preseason stage. On the Costa del Sol, a new round of testing was carried out on Thursday by the entire squad -after working for two days individually, following LaLiga protocol-, in which two new positives were detected, so all the campus has returned this Friday to take tests.

The two names of the last two positives have not been released, although MD has been able to confirm that William Carvalho and Fekir have not exercised this Friday morning with the rest of their teammates.

All the players who have tested positive are asymptomatic and perfectly well, although as a precaution they should isolate themselves from the rest and keep quarantine. “Those affected are asymptomatic and in good health. Once the results are known today, the club has taken extreme measures to isolate all the members of the expedition and in the next few hours new PCR tests will be carried out ”, the Verdiblanco club reported this Friday.

Before these three positives, when the League was resumed, footballers Joel Robles, Juanmi and Pedraza also passed the coronavirus.
