Barça leaves Lisbon in silence. After a sad night and, surely, long knives at the Sheraton hotel in the Portuguese capital, the Barça expedition left the concentration hotel at 10:00 am. Barely fifteen people were waiting for the players to leave. About twenty minutes earlier, the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, had already left accompanied by managers like Jordi Moix or Javier Bordas. Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes, visible heads of the sports department, who had traveled with the expedition, were not seen at any time.
The players, almost all protected with a mask (some like Riqui Puig did not wear it), got on the bus in the middle of a tremendous silence. Messi and Luis Suárez, for example, through the front door. Piqué, Alba and De Jong, among others, from the rear. While all the technicians were going to another bus, Pepe Costa, Messi's right hand man, got on the footballers' bus. Very crestfallen. Now a trip to Barcelona awaits them and a welcome at the Ciutat Esportiva.
