Málaga proposes a reduction of 80-90% to the highest chips

The news of Malaga is frantic. The judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, and the sports director, Manolo Gaspar, try to shape the next project, which is still in its infancy and that has endless pending decisions. The template must change significantly and, As AS has been able to confirm, the sports director has communicated in recent days to many of the Blue and White footballers what is the situation they must face.

The situation of the club forces to impose drastic measures and these will affect the players. As he has been preparing behind the scenes for months, Manolo Gaspar has proposed to the players with the highest chips a reduction of 80 – 90 percent of their contracts. The club's proposal is very clear and affects many of the players with a contract: either they adapt their chips to the very difficult situation of the club or we will have to find a satisfactory solution for all parties. This is what the sports director himself has communicated a few days ago to those involved.

In that list of players who have to radically reduce their salaries to continue in Martiricos are, among others, Juanpi Añor, Luis Hernández, Adrián González, Dani Pacheco, Munir, Juankar, Diego González, Renato Santos or Esteban Rolón. Boulahroud and Benkhemassa have been told directly that they are not part of the club's plans and that they are looking for a team.

Manolo Gaspar has transmitted to those who have the highest chips that their salary must be reduced to an amount that is below 200,000 euros (Juanpi, Luis Hernández, Adrián…). In contrast, those with medium contracts have been offered the minimum wage (80,000 euros). The alternative to this proposal is to find a way out of the club that is satisfactory for both Málaga and the players involved.

This approach by Malaga has generated considerable discomfort among the players, who do not hide their dissatisfaction with the fact that the club has taken several weeks to communicate this situation in which they have been working in the offices for months. Many of these players, moreover, have recently agreed to collect the last payment for the course in several months to give a break to the club's coffers.

The purpose of Manolo Gaspar is that the exits do not become enquisten and to be able to drastically reduce and as soon as possible the salary expense of the staff to undertake the multiple market operations that it has open (there are several players, including Escassi, with whom the club has closed agreements). But it will not be an easy task since the differences with the current Málaga players are very evident. They do not agree with the times and the forms used by the club and some of them have already communicated the situation to AFE.
