Cartagena has closed this Wednesday the loan from Villarreal of forward Simón Moreno, 23, with a view to the next LaLiga SmartBank season. Born in the Huelva town of Cartaya, Moreno is an attacker trained in the lower categories of the Castellón team and during the 2018/2019 season he scored 13 goals with the yellow team.
Last year he went on loan to Almería, with which did not make his debut in official competition, not so in friendlies, which he played and in which he scored goals, so he returned to Villarreal B, where he played six games and scored four goals before seriously injuring himself.
After overcoming the knee injury that had him off the pitch for several months, he joined the Cartagena project in LaLiga SmartBank and under Borja Jiménez to start the preseason with the Albinegro team.
