Ponferradina began preseason training on Wednesday after passing the mandatory medical tests on Monday and Tuesday. The blue and white team, led by Jon Pérez Bolo, has 16 first team players, who were joined in the first working session by three players from the quarry.
Thus, from last season Manu García, Gazzaniga, Iván Rodríguez, Ríos Reina, Saúl, Larrea, Óscar Sielva, Kaxe and Bolaños continue at Deportiva, while Jon García, Yac and Carlos Bravo rejoin after their respective assignments. The three new faces of the team were also on this first day: Master, Juergen Elitim and Moussa Sidibé, as well as many other players from the quarry: Óscar Contreras, Urbina and Mario Ordóñez, the last two arrivals from the Málaga youth team to play with Ponferradina B.
While the team is already sweating on the pitch, the sports management continue working to complete the template and also the pre-season friendly schedule, of which only one match against Sporting de Gijón has been confirmed so far.
