Today 11 years ago, on August 8, 2009, Espanyolismo received the worst news in its long history, the tragic death of Dani Jarque on the stage of Coverciano (Italy).

The scourge of Covid-19 has subtracted some influx on this day underlined by Espanyolism, although the parrots did not fail. The fans had to take their temperature when entering, wash their hands with hydroalcoholic gel and keep a distance of two meters.
At ten in the morning the institutional act was held, without cameras. The sports general director was present, Rufete, the coach, Vicente Moreno, and the advisers Josep Maria Durán and Mao Ye. Also came Araceli Perez, president of the Catalan Federation of Penyes (FCPE), as well as Dani's parents and his representative ‘Mágico’ Díaz.
