In an unexpected script twist since he made it clear that he would not go against LaLiga, Fuenlabrada has issued a statement this Wednesday in which it has proposed to play from next Sunday, August 2 his match against Deportivo in Riazor. It is the day that the footballers' quarantine supposedly ends.
After a tense calm Tuesday at the Hotel Finiesterre, with the players much calmer after the harsh statement they had issued last Sunday, Jonathan Praena, president of Fuenlabrada, proposed to the players to have a telematic meeting with them in which he told them that they would issue a statement with the request to play from August 2 before there is a decision of the Competition Committee.
Praena's measure too has served to reconcile his relationship with the players, somewhat deteriorated in recent days, especially since the crossing of notes on Sunday.
The club statement reads as follows:
“The CF Fuenlabrada has communicated to the competent institutions that, if the negative results in the tests that are being thrown remain until Thursday, its squad will be in suitable conditions to play the postponed match against RC Deportivo de la Coruña from this Sunday, August 2.
Last Sunday the club reported that it was not in a position to talk about dates since it was in a situation of uncertainty, despite the latest results of the PCR tests and the evolution in the last four days has been very good, so that we are looking forward to the end of this season. “
