Osasuna coach Jagoba Arrasate commented after the draw against Mallorca that ending the season among the top ten finishers “is very difficult.”
The Basque stood out in the press conference for his team's season as “outstanding” after being in the top ten, “something dreamed of because I think we should give value to the players on the return to First Division.”
Arrasate recalled the importance of Fran Mérida during these 4 years in Osasuna, “a capital player for us who is also a super-loved guy in the locker room. I wish him well.”
“The balance is very positive knowing that it is very difficult to be in the top ten as well as that the last season in Primera was not good,” said the coach of the Navarrese team.
“The idea is to progress and improve, but now they have a well-deserved vacation and we will hit hard on the return because we have an exciting year,” added Arrasate.
The ex of Numancia, has noted that Osasuna needs his fans “to achieve the objectives” and has dedicated the remarkable season “to all the red guys who have believed and supported us a lot”.
