Zidane gives champions a week-long vacation

Zinedine Zidane has 'gifted' his players with a mini vacation more than deserved after the brilliant conquest of League 34. After the game played tonight in Butarque against Leganés, the 25 champions have received from their coach a full seven-day permit to rest and disconnect after the supreme effort made during these 37 days, in those who accomplished the goal set during the pandemic.

The week of rest will allow them not having to return to train in Valdebebas until Monday, July 27. That way they would have from that moment 11 days to prepare the big appointment that they have left in their calendar for this course: the return match with City in the Etihad that will be played on August 7 in Manchester.

Zidane spoke with the captains and his coaching staff and concluded that the players need a physical and mental rest after the tremendous effort made in these weeks and that, knowing the responsibility that almost all of them have shown, they will return well in weight and without excesses that will make the return a preseason to use.

The idea is that this week is a break, but with continuity. In fact, Dupont has left them some exercise tables that they will carry out from their resting places so that on the 27th they arrive in good disposition and without abandoning that splendid physical moment that they have exhibited in the last weeks of this triumphant League.
