The Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre resumes this Saturday in Madrid

The Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre, the national youth circuit promoted by the winner of 19 'Grand Slams', will resume this Saturday in Madrid its activity after four and a half months of stoppage by the coronavirus.

The International Tennis Club of the capital will host from July 18 to 26 this stage of the circuit, in which 330 players from the sub-12 and sub-14 categories will participate. The preliminary phase will take place on July 18, 19 and 20, and from Tuesday 21 the final phase will be held, which will conclude on Sunday, July 26 with the celebration of the finals and the awards ceremony.

Also, During the first three days of the final phase, participants will have the opportunity to participate in activities promoting sports values, reported this Friday from the organization.

The seventh edition of this circuit, which returns to Madrid two years later, consists of six tournaments and a Master. After the appointments in Barcelona, ​​Seville and Madrid, he will hold the tournaments that had to be postponed due to the coronavirus crisis in Alicante (August), Valldoreix – Barcelona- (September) and Valencia (October). Finally, the 32 classified youths (eight per category) They will compete in November for the Master in Mallorca, at the facilities of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.

The Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre is a solidarity circuit, since all the economic benefits go to the Rafa Nadal Foundation, which works to reinforce the integration and personal and social development of children and youth, in Spain and India. The foundation focuses its work on three areas: social integration of vulnerable minors, care for young people with intellectual disabilities, and promotion of sports talent.
